Fitness Friday: Strength Flexibility Balance & Breath

Cost: $70.00

This class is designed for anyone who wants to maintain good quality of life, independence and effective Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Students will perform workouts aimed to improve, develop and maintain strength, flexibility, balance and general fitness. The instructor will place a strong emphasis on correct alignment, safe movement and proper breathing. 


Equipment needed:

2 barbells (3lb or more at student discretion);

1 yoga mat;

resistance band;

chair if needed.

General class layout:

15 minutes of light cardio exercises;

30-45 minutes of resistance training for upper and lower body (mix of standing and sitting exercises - with possible modifications, as needed by the student) and balance exercises;

15 minutes floor work for abs, back, stretching and breath work for relaxation and stress management.
